You can! Just book a breakfast inclusive rate and you can have breakfast at the restaurant where there’ll be a proper egg station.
Plats are only entitled to lounge access at Marriott-brand properties. A few went above and beyond and comp’ed breakfast at the restaurant. Apparently, Marriot is demanding consistency from its properties and wants to put a stop to that. Now, nothing stops a property from having a egg station at the lounge — I’ve seen a few.
If you want breakfast at the restaurant as a Plat welcome amenity choose to stay at any of the Starwood legacy brands, where it will still be available (continental only, ymmv).
