Sorry to hear this. It was inevitable that Marriott would start to squeeze Platinum benefits. Once they have your money elites are probably seen as a drain on hotel's resources. They can of course offer what they please but if they think the Brits will put up with a continental breakfast instead of a full English then they've really underestimated how quick we will walk.
