Whether it's a "*A lounge" or not is really just semantics. They admit *A long-haul business and first class pax, so it is certainly a *A lounge in that sense (unlike AC Signature Suite, which is limited to AC pax). While Polaris Lounge doesn't neatly fit the existing categorizations, ultimately that's a big "so what?" in my book. We know what the rules are. Nor are the rules irrational - UA wants to provide an elevated experience for long-haul premium cabin customers, and it can't do that if it lets in too many pax.
I'm not all that surprised the lounge finder tool is not handling it properly yet. They may have to write new code to handle its special rules.
