Even with AA flights over the Atlantic, adding a BA connection in Europe makes the entire thing price out as if was all BA, so with YQ it is $1200-1350. I even tried Iberia, and it prices out to over $1100.

This essentially makes this award useless. It’s much cheaper to book an AA business anytime from USA to Europe, then a separate intra Europe ticket. The problem with this is I have to collect and recheck bags when arriving in Europe, then again on the way back.
