Telluride is great. The Peaks is so-so, a nicely done RC will be a great addition to the Village. For those looking for more space, the Franz Klammer lodge in the Village is also reasonably nice.

For those who haven't been, I will share that flights in and out of TEX are not for the faint of heart. I understand that the airport is the highest commercial airport in the US, and it is in a blustery box-valley (mountains on all 4 sides). It is the only place where, due to the small plane getting whipped around by the winds - I heard the "Terrain! Terrain! Pull Up!" warning from the cockpit multiple times during approach.

This landing was so bad, I switched my return flight to depart from MTJ, which is about 1.5 hours away by car.

Also, for other NYers, I think CO still offers seasonal nonstop EWR-MTJ service via some sort of mainline aircraft.
