The close-in booking fee is the only thing that is giving me pause at the moment. I'm not sure i'd book award flights 6x in a year to make up for the fee.
Next annual fee loads in September, so still mulling it over.

There are some work arounds on this but as above if you are 1K it shouldn't matter. I like the ability to get a CPU with a mileage award ticket If you hold the Chase Card as well, while it becoming less common to get upgraded it has happened to me a few times. Always a nice surprise.
