Because once you hit 60 nights you become Diamond and can give Elite gold to a friend. But if you’re already Diamond can you gift Gold status before hitting 60 nights?
There is a requirement that you have to stay 60 or 100 nights to get that benefit. So no lifetime Diamond can't gift the status without hitting the required nights.
