Circle line Victoria to Paddington takes 15 minutes, runs every 10 mins, and drops you at the side of Paddington where you don't have to lug your suitcases up and down the stairs. HEX platform is directly in front of the exit from the circle line, will take about 5 mins to get there. GEX arrives into platforms 13/14 and I'd allow 10 mins to get from there to the tube station (tip: sit as close to the front of the train as you can). If you don't have Oyster, use a contactless card for the tube so you don't have to queue for a ticket. If you have luggage, use the wide gates on the tube that are often to the side of the narrow ones - this makes getting your luggage through a heck of a lot easier .

On HEX, the best location on the train is the back of the second carriage from the front for an efficient exit at T3. I didn't travel to T5 all that often on HEX so can't remember the best spot. I think it might be nearer the middle.
