I have a feeling you hit it ... OP might be looking for another stay albeit discounted which means that negotiation power may go down once posted on TA.

On the other hand, I don't think properties care too much about FT. Some hotel GM's have bonuses based on TripAdvisor scores and track it regularly.

Of course, here in our FT community, its nice to share that information on the property so that the karma runs both ways.
