Welcome for the help. You Amex MR points could be converted to AF points which would allow for a 2 stop flight with the TransAtlantic in PE which is quite nice. Via Aeroplan you might be able to book PE on Lufthansa or Austrian but not 100% sure on that yet. When you come up with a plan feel free to relay it back here for commenting to make sure you're not missing out on something.

I have done various searches and know that right this second I could book an Economy MileSAAver flight, and might end up doing that, but was hoping for something a bit more comfy as you recognized.
