So back in March I was supposed to go to Florida and I had to cancel that ticket and american airlines was really understanding bc my mom had passed and they gave me a credit to use within a year. So i booked a ticket to london last week. I want to change my flight dates since it turns out my moms headstone will be arriving then. So, I called american today to change my flight and they told me that a waiver was already put in place when I booked my london trip, I was like what waiver no one told me about this waiver I used my credit and paid the difference. So she said because of that I would have to first buy out my ticket, then pay a cancellation fee, then pay whatever difference for the new ticket. The supervisor was just extremely rude and not helpful. So now I am kind of stuck and not sure what to do. Please help!!
