i had a fare ticketed on Dec 1, 2016 and it was the old fare rule that was attached to the ticket... I was trying to argue that there was a new fare rule on Dec 1, 2016 and it was firmly denied.
I think in practicality you will get the fare rules in effect when the reservations were first made.
