If you are a valued Marriott Rewards Gold Elite member when you check in, you will receive those benefits. If you're not, you won't.

I could make a reservation as a PLT today for next July. If I only stay at Marriott 3 times in 2018, do you think I'd get PLT benefits when I arrive next year?
