No it isn't possible. ORD is not one of the US airports that participate in ITI so you will have to collect your bags at ORD and drop them back off after immigration/customs.
The collect and drop-off process is efficient and within T5 but you have to wait for the bags to get on the belt, which can be fairly slow, and for the customs check.
