I never worry about flying first class because I pay for it when I don’t fly private. Given certain high profile clubs I am a member of and the stable of cars I seldom drive along with a collection of 6 figure watches that I have because I just love them I find status isn’t something I need to try to obtain because I already have it so I am told. What I don’t like it a lack of respect. When that is the case you do business elsewhere. It’s exactly what I have done. I feel that American Express doesn’t deserve my business. Chase has given me everything I wanted. Huge limits. Tons of perks for doing what do anyways. I travel with kids so we often need two rooms and with the Ritz status this becomes useful and it cost me nothing.
I read this interesting article about being rich. And apparently if you are truly rich you don't care if other people know.
