The 'fare class' (UA's term) doesn't have a strict relationship to the fare rules. There are patterns, but you can't just assume since the class is Y or B that it has this or that allowance for refunds or changes.
Yeah, I'm finding that out, some of these terms can be a bit misleading. Like I said, I tried to search for what the difference was and didn't find much, just wanted to share in case someone else was as curious as I was.
