This worked for me a couple years ago. A TSA rep used to monitor this thread and give helpful advice.

Many of the restrictions are indeed airline imposed. WN was terrible about this . . . used to be, if you didn't enter KTN at ticket purchase, you were totally SOL. Don't know if they've fixed that.
