Not sure I would rely on Expert Flyer too much either. I was watching for U to open SEA-BOS and set an Alert in EF. After a random check, I saw that there was U space available and called AS to apply a GGU. No issues and I selected my F seat. About 3 hours later I received the alert from EF. At that time the U soace was long gone.

That's not actually possible. The alerts are sent using real time data, so at the time the alert email was sent, the U space was still available.
