Got bait and switched here in a very frustrating way. The hotel's website says that the pool and whirlpool are closed for renovation, which is fine. It advertises a full-service, three-story health club that's open 24 hours a day. That's fantastic, and it led me to choose the Palmer House over a number of other hotels in the area. I get here and the hotel says that the fitness center is closed Monday through Friday until the end of the month and that the options are to use the BRICK Fitness from 5:45-7:30 am, 8:30am-11:30am, and 1:15pm-5:45pm (in other words, not prime times), or the fitness center at the Hilton Chicago, which is 7 blocks away, and even then, only until 9 PM. Hotel says this is through the end of August, so FYI if you're staying here.
