I am looking to hike Mt. Triglav in mid-August. I am an avid hiker, but am planning to hire a guide because I do not know the area.

So far, the guided hikes I have found are far more expensive than I anticipated.

Does anyone have recommendations for Triglav guides that reasonably priced? Alternately, would it be wise/okay/normal to hike the mountain without a guide? I understand that overnight accommodations will still be necessary.
