I meant that if I for example on a Short Haul selected 1A and later a HON would select 1C (in J with middle seat blocked). I wouldn't be bumped to another seat upon checking in to free the seat next to the HON? Or is the next seat free principle only applicable in Y? Or also Shorthaul J? (or even longhaul J(I doubt it).
And how does it work in Y when one selects a middle seat, let's say 18B. Are 18A and 18C kept free in that case?
I'm really intereted in how it works!

PS: Are seats next to connecting F pax also kept free?
