“Fume events” aren’t exactly common, but they have been reported on the 737s (and virtually all aircraft types). It’s not unique to the Airbus fleet. A group of PMAS FAs sued Boeing back in 2015 claiming they suffered “devastating health effects” from fumes on a flight.
