While the airline does have the duty of care, I'm not sure where you found that they have to provide you food after 2 hours of delay?
EC261/2004 article 9 specifies: (bolding mine)
Article 9
Right to care
1. Where reference is made to this Article, passengers shall be offered free of charge:
(a) meals and refreshments in a reasonable relation to the waiting time;
...
