I see a lot of negative reviews TAP Portugal and, but most of the negative comments are due to missed connections or the local flights within Europe. Seems that they have upgraded their planes for the long haul service as well on the a330s. I am also aware that they charge for the checked bags, but I would only have a carry-on.

Are they a good choice for the direct flights from JFK/Newark to Lisbon?

Or should I pay a bit more and choose Delta? For some reason Delta is consistently $250-300 for the round trip in Oct/Nov.
