Good point; I had it in my head that it was PDX-SEA.

Also, this negates the on-time performance advantage of the Cascades, as the Coast Starlight starts in Seattle and thus will (almost) certainly depart on-time regardless. In fact, if the OP books a SEA-PDX Cascades train that originates in Vancouver, it has the potential to be delayed heading south from SEA.

I'd still book the Cascades, though, all else being equal.
