Heard back from AS as to why our exit row seats were taken away

Sorry I can't find the original thread.

It was when AS took us out of the exit row seats we had booked on upcoming flights, put us into Premium seats which we did not ask for and did not want, and then told us we had to PAY for those premium seats!

Someone gave me a link to AS customer care, and I sent all the details to them. That was 3 weeks ago. I heard back today. This is their response:

"Thank you for sharing your frustration regarding your upcoming reservations. It's our goal to make sure every trip you have on Alaska goes smoothly. The best way for us to do that is hearing from you.

I can certainly understand why the changes and fees have you concerned. While I would like to be able to personally assist you with this matter, unfortunately I am unable to do so. The Reservations office would be the best department to speak with and they can be reached at 1-800-252-7522. They are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

XXXX, we value you as an MVP Gold member and look forward to welcoming you aboard another Alaska flight soon.

Are you kidding me!!!!

What do I do now? Reservations was useless - they are the ones who told me I had to pay or move, and oh so sorry the exit rows are now gone, too bad, so sad.

So this Gold and her Gold husband have now moved their seats to regular rows, because what choice do we have?

I am utterly disgusted.
