It's been a while since I posted .. Had a great time at the London DO last week and was great to see you all.

I currently have a redemption booking to JFK in December booked with a BA AMEX companion voucher.

I have booked F out and J in as F was not available on the way back. If availability were to open up, would it be possible via a phone call to change the class (and flight if necessary) and only be charged 20k avios (i.e. would the companion voucher reduce the additional avios requirement by half?).
