Need some advice on canceling CSR.

I plan to cancel this week to avoid next month's annual fee. However, I have $500 in spend that has not hit a statement yet. I'd rather not lose the points entirely.

Should I downgrade to a Sapphire Regular? Is this still allowed or is CSP the only option? And if I downgrade, I assume I will only get 1x points, not the CSR-level multipliers, despite having spent the dollars while still having the CSR. Is this correct?
