As for CR2s, well they managed to negotiate some kind of deal on these birds, including ending the lease at any time as I understand it. Otherwise what sane person would use CR2 when an E145 was available @:-)
I would take an ERJ-145 any day before a CRJ-200... I just don't have a choice on many of the routes I'm flying out of DEN.
I'm still disappointed that UA dropped the deal with Boeing a couple years ago to purchase 60 new B737-700's at that steep discount, as that aircraft would likely have replaced some regional jets on routes like DEN-FAT or DEN-BFL with some frequency adjustments on those routes as well to compensate.
Anyone know why UA dropped that deal?
