I am joining a very global group of students (~35 nationalities) who all have to find a way to make a 2hr drive after a long, transatlantic (for most) flight.
I have offered to drive some of them and am looking at a passenger van (group P, probably) to transfer them.

One thing I am uncertain about: How many people could I comfortably transfer in a group P (12-person) Ford Transit "or similar", considering they're each bringing at least 1 full-size bag and a carry-on?

Furthermore, from Europe, I cannot book an XV-class. It simply isn't an option. I will (have to) book through a European website due to some benefits I have here. Should I book a P and then call to upgrade to XV? If so, what would the upgrade cost be (4 rental days)?
