I actually opened this thread as I’m in a similar position one week today. We are treating the inlaws to a caribbean cruise out of NYC and they too I’m sure will be expecting Y.

They didn’t flinch yesterday when they asked if they could pay for a 2nd suit case!

We are on the upper deck on J with 8 of us in the prime spots. It’s cool to think we will have nearly half (possibly more if not full) of the upstairs.

Father in law has always wanted to fly a Jumbo so delighted to grant this wish. He will be made up when he’s upstairs.

I’m planning on spilling the beans in the lounge.

BTW. Would you suggest B gate lounge for this flight? Usually do GF but obv need a J lounge this time and I seem to remember this one is usually much quieter
