I guess day flights may be aisle facing seats might be annoying but they tend to be short haul which I am happy in economy. PE is great for day medium haul flights and that's what I choose say to Adelaide/Perth on the way over. J just feels like over kill for medium haul, especially a day flight.

Yes totally agree. I burnt an RU to go J on a day flight to Narita once and I felt like it was such a waste of an RU. PE medium haul still lets you get lots of work done, eat in comfort, watch some movies and relax. Lying down to sleep during the NZ daytime just felt really silly and wish i'd kept that RU!
