Moving from SAS EuroBonus to LH Miles&More
Hi
Need a bit of advise - hope some of you expert FF's can help me out.
I'm clocking in around 200.000 EuroBonus basic points (those who count towards stats) each year, so easily reaching SAS Diamond, their highest level if you do not count the by invitation only Pandion level. As one only needs 90.000 points to reach EuroBonus Diamond I'm considering to move the rest of my earnings to Miles&More. The reason is that EuroBonus is really stringy with making awards available, even to Diamond members, so have a really hard time booking awards on SAS metal and I often end up booking on Lufthansa Group metal or other StarAlliance partners instead. I only book Business or First award and LH F awards are only available to EuroBonus at T-14 days. I mostly fly SAS full fare Business (C/D) or Premium Economy (Y/S) and a few flights a year on LH in Business (C/D), Premium Economy (G/E) and a few random low fare intra european economy flights. My estimate is that if I move the rest of my earnings in 2018 to Miles&More I would probably be able to earn around 90.000-100.000 status miles, but I find it a bit tricky to calculate how many miles I earn in Miles & More flying mostly SAS.
Questions: Would you recommend me to move some of my earnings to Lufthansa? How does the new earnings in Miles&More affect SAS? How easy is it to book awards with LH Group as a Miles and More member?
Many thanks for any advise!
