Connecting Flights at Manchester
I was looking to fly from Helsinki to Heathrow, but the direct flights are expensive on the day I'm looking to travel. The British Airways website is also offering at a lower price a flight with Finnair from Helsinki to Manchester connecting to the BA flight to Heathrow.
The connection time is only 55 minutes which seems very low, particularly as the Finnair flight is to T1 and the BA flight leaves from T3. I've never connected at Manchester before, but I assume I will have to arrive at T1 and go through passport control, exit and walk to T3 and then go through security at T3.
I know there is a certain degree of protection as it will be on one ticket, but is the connection time realistic or would it be best avoided?
