Most dictionaries consider 65 the "official" age of a senior citizen. In FL where I live 65 is also the "legal" definition of a senior citizen and criminal charges/penalties are enhanced if a crime is committed against a person 65 and older.
On the other hand, while Hilton uses 65, several other hotel programs use 62. As does the US National Parks/etc annual/lifetime card program. As dies the Landmark movie theater chain in SoCal. Etc.
