I have an odd situation.

My friend's company will be flying her for a conference to London. That weekend her friend is getting married in London. Her company will not allow her to add days to her trip (I know, it doesn't make sense).

She's thinking of going to the conference, not taking the company-booked return trip and booking her own way home after the wedding.

Will that work? Are there any problems with not showing up for a flight?
