Last time I got one it was after a specific request a few years ago and the Diamond Desk stated the reason I didn't get one automatically was due to my "marketing preferences" -- which I then checked and couldn't find anything that would indicate why I wasn't getting one. [in fact the ONLY marketing I had not opted out of was physical/mail marketing].

Haven't seen one since nor have I really felt the need (other than I enjoy having physical souvenirs for status and it's occasionally interesting to see how my program allegiances and card designs have changed over the years) -- but having a current Honors card would have been potentially helpful when checking in yesterday afternoon in the midst of the OnQ "global outage" that left the lobby a cluster with room assignments AFU* -- but as it was they just asked if I was a gold or diamond and took my word for it.


(*- I reserved a King, I prefer high floor/away from elevator and I eChecked into a "perfect" room on the side of the building I prefer; the first room I was given was a double, on the "wrong" side of the building, right next to the elevator...the only way it could have been worse was if it were also an ADA or Smoking room, but I digress)
