I was about to disagree with the very knowledgeble poster Jaimito Cartero, but decided to check for myself. As per Yahoo Finance the exchange rate is 40.650 to the Dollar. This shocks me, because it used to be higher, and everyone predicted 45 or more baht to the Dollar.

The other thing to keep in mind (as Jaimito Cartero pointed out) is the fare for nationals. There are countries around the world that have a two tier structure. This has been covered on one or two (maybe more, I'm still a newbie to this) threads on this board.

OTOH, if you can combine a MR with a vacation in Thailand, that sounds like a great thing if you've got the vacation time (or work for yourself).
