I fly with my family of four about 3 or 4 times a year MAN-BKK. I usually pay £500-£600 PP for Economy. The J fare is around £1900+.PP. That is £5200 pounds difference per trip difference. If I was flying solo, then not much of an issue, but paying for four tickets, I really cannot justify the added cost.
Ex-SEA (south east asia) fares to EU (esp on QR) gravitate at around 1300gbp pp and I would say that the extra comfort is worth the price.
