What a dump!!! This place is in serious need of an upgrade. We couldn't figure out how to turn on the bedside lamps, but just gave up and went to bed. We were exhausted. If the stay was for longer, we would have left after a night.
I can only reiterate what you've said above...I've only stayed there when I was in late and out early, and even then I felt dirty leaving that place....TOTAL DUMP!
