ST. THOMAS —The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas is operating under a different name while hurricane repairs are under way.

The Ritz-Carlton website is not accepting reservations, and the property, located at 6900 Great Bay, also is listed on a Marriott website as “Great Bay Resort.”

The website lists the property as a “new hotel” under the Fairfield Inn & Suites brand.

Marriott public relations representatives did not respond to requests for clarification.

Ritz-Carlton spokeswoman Arianna Gershon did not respond to questions about the two websites listing the same property under different names, and she said the resort is not currently open to the public.
