Avianca, as in Star Alliance? Or do you mean LATAM? Lifemiles is Avianca, so I presume you mean the former, whereas BA is in oneworld.

That said, yes BA's own Avios search is not working well, see the main thread on that, but it depends on exactly what you are looking for.
