I am holding a marriott
gold member and would be checking into this property over the weekend. (booked the cheapest room, cash stay)
In my confirmation email JW mentioned the following:
Enjoy these Gold Elite benefits* during your stay.
- Guaranteed lounge access for you and a guest. Free continental breakfast for member plus one guest daily. Resorts excluded and certain hotels exempt.
- Complimentary Room Upgrade (Based on availability, at time of check-in)
- Free enhanced Wi-Fi
what other benefits additional benefits can i also ask for? early check in and 4pm check out? Should i also be hopeful for an upgrade suite too? (In the comments i position this trip as celebrating my wife's birthday)
This is probably my 'final' chance to reap the rewards of a gold member before it gets cut in Aug once the new program kicks in.

An upgrade is unlikely as a gold, but 4 p.m. checkout should be no problem.
