My son is in a coma. He will not wake up. He has a flight booked on British which he booked about six weeks prior to becoming ill. They are refusing to assist me in getting a refund of the $160 he paid for this flight because I do not have the 6 digit code. I must wait for him to die and present a death certificate, or I can give him the credit to use at a later date which is not happening since he's brain damaged. The charge is on my credit card, but they still will not assist me. I have the 13 digit reservation number, but they have told me that is insufficient, and the ONLY thing I can use to get a refund is the 6 digit code...which you can't get from a comatose person whose email password is something none of us can figure out. Any thoughts on how I can turn this 13 digit number into the 6 digit British number? Someone on an earlier thread mentioned Finnair's site, but I was not successful with that. Weirdly, Norwegian gave us the 6 digit code for another flight he had with them when we shared the credit card number he booked with, so the British claim that this is a data protection policy doesn't really make sense, but it's what I am dealing with now.
