The exact same thing has happened to me:
- Devaluation fiasco decided to credit QR flights to BA Exec Club
- Entered BAEC at online check-in
- At BKK the agent printed out the BKK>DOH>DUB boarding pass(es) with BAEC number and OW status
- Received a mail yesterday from QRPC thanking me for flying with them
- I checked online and sure enough- the flights have credited to QRPC
- This is especially annoying as I had over the standard 40kg of Business class luggage allowance and QR insisted at check-in at BKK that if I credited to BAEC they could not extend the extra 15kg QRPC Gold member allowance to cover the extra 6kg. I ended up paying 10000 THB for the extra 6kg
I will try to retro claim with BAEC, but I am seriously annoyed they have done this esp after the excess baggage incident at BKK
