The Trip Advisor reviews, which mostly relate to its flagging as Radisson, are bad and in line with what I experienced when I stayed in the first couple of weeks it was part of Radisson. This is my biggest reservation with Marriott's Delta brand. Many or most of the properties outside Canada seem to be re-flags, which means a great deal of inconsistency.

I suspect Marriott wouldn't have required them to buy new bedding, etc.

Oh yeah, branding a hotel "Delta" at one of Delta's biggest hubs seems bad, too. It has to be a nightmare as hotel guests and airline passengers must easily confuse the two Deltas.

And it's great when the third-party management company doesn't even know Marriott standards:

Matt Sutherland, the general manager of Delta Hotel Detroit Metro Airport, said he's optimistic about the hotel's future in Detroit.

"We've gone through some really great transformations; (there's) still more to come," Sutherland said. "We're working on our elite concierge lounge, which will be available for our Gold (Elite) members with Marriott Rewards, so we're very excited about that." [emphasis added]

That's unusual, given the third-party management company, Crescent, operates several legacy Marriott portfolio properties across multiple brands, both full-service and limited-service: http://www.crescenthotels.com/portfolio
