I have a question about design hotels. It actually seems easier to get a BRG in design hotels now I think. I found a flexible rate as the absolute lowest rate on SPG (sesame for 1 or 2 which is crucial if booking for 2) but the competing rate is non refundable and also a room type not available on SPG (lower category). It seems they won’t consider the cancellation or deposit policies for design hotels according to T&Cs, just the lowest rate on SPG for 1? Is that correct? It means if you find a flexible rate in such a case then it’s easier to do a BRG with design hotels now - no risk.
