My passport, wallet and phone are always on my person when I fly, and especially for take of and landing. As are my shoes.

In the event of evacuation, I want to be able to get somewhere, pay for something, phone someone.

I never will understand anyone who puts everything into their bag and in an overhead locker, but I guess they are also the idiots going down the slides with their carry on luggage.
