I have a family trip coming up - my wife and I booked flights to Romania in CE months ago when pricing was reasonable and we recently bought separate tickets for our mothers but in economy because of price.

As a treat we want to swap cabins i.e. Mrs Ned and I sit in economy and let our mothers fly in CE.

Any suggestions on how we should manage this? Simply advise the crew at the gate? Wait until we get onboard?
