I'm not sure if the process of adding someone on a different PNR still exists, but it makes it near impossible to UG them. Also, splitting the GM and FO into 2 separate PNRs will cause the FO to immediately lose the GM-sponsored UG, if it happens.
You can’t add someone to an existing PNR (I get this) and the UG I was talking about was when the companion is on a different PNR (when the companion is on a different PNR, they can’t clear until the FO window) The main question I was wondering was if I have DL split us into 2 PNRs if my +1 would loose their UG which you stated will happen so I probably won’t call until Thursday if that’s the case.

Can you change PNR like that? I thought once you booked, if someone wasn't on the same PNR, they couldn't benefit from your status? I've added my wife by "linking" itineraries before, but she doesn't benefit from my status since she's not on the same PNR, and I wasn't able to add her after-the-fact.
They can be added to the FC UG list (not C+ for some strange reason) but they won’t clear until after the FOs do. (earliest T-24)
